Offers and Discounts

Quick answer

Create percentage or flat-rupee offers in DineomAI, set start and end dates, and the AI automatically shows and applies them to diners in the chat.

Offers are how you run a deal without changing your menu prices. You set one up, and the AI shows it to guests in the chat and applies the discount when they accept. You manage all of it from the offers page at /admin/offers.

Create an offer

On the offers page, add a new offer and fill in the details:

  • Title: what the guest sees, for example "30% off Mains".
  • Description: a short line that explains the deal.
  • Type: a percentage off, or a flat rupee amount off.
  • Discount value: the number that goes with the type, like 30 for 30 percent or 100 for 100 rupees off.
  • Applies to: the items or categories the offer covers.

Save, and the offer is ready to run.

Set when it runs

Each offer can have an optional valid-from and valid-until date. Leave them open if you want the offer to run with no fixed window, or set them to schedule a deal in advance and let it end on its own.

You can also turn any offer on or off whenever you like. That gives you a fast way to pause a deal without deleting it.

Offer states

At any moment, an offer is in one of four states:

State What it means
Active Running now, and shown to guests in the chat.
Scheduled Set up, but its start date is still in the future.
Expired Past its end date, so it no longer runs.
Inactive Switched off by you.

Only active offers reach guests. The rest sit quietly until their date arrives or you switch them on.

How guests see an offer

The AI shows active offers to guests right in the chat. When a guest accepts a deal, the AI applies the discount to the matching items. So a guest browsing your mains sees the "30% off Mains" offer, accepts it, and the running total drops by 30 percent on those items.

FAQ

What's the difference between a percentage and a flat offer?

A percentage offer takes a share off the price, like 30 percent off mains. A flat offer takes a fixed rupee amount off, like 100 rupees off. Pick the type that matches the deal, set the value, and choose the items or categories it covers.

Can I schedule an offer to start later?

Yes. Set a valid-from date in the future and the offer sits in the scheduled state until that day arrives. Once the start date hits, it becomes active and the AI shows it to guests on its own, with no extra step from you.

How do I pause an offer without deleting it?

Turn the offer off. That moves it to the inactive state, so it stops showing to guests but keeps all its settings. Switch it back on any time to make it active again, and the AI starts showing it in the chat right away.

What to do next

With a deal running, set up pairings and upsell so the AI suggests a dish to go with it and lifts the average ticket.
