Dineomai ("we", "our", "us") provides a QR-based AI dine-in ordering platform for restaurants. This policy explains exactly what data we collect when you interact with our platform, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights over it.

  Summary: We collect your name, order history, and language preference to process your orders and improve your experience. We never sell your data. You can delete it anytime by messaging the AI chat with STOP.

Information we collect

We collect the following personal data when you interact with our ordering platform:

AI processing (Sarvam AI)

To understand orders in multiple Indian languages — including Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu — we use AI models powered by Sarvam AI.

Your messages may be processed by Sarvam AI to:

Understand natural language order requests
Identify menu items you are asking for
Detect your preferred language

No personally identifiable information is intentionally shared with Sarvam AI beyond the text content of your message. Sarvam AI does not store your name or personal identifiers.

Data shared with restaurants

The restaurant you are ordering from will receive the following information to prepare and serve your order:

Your first name (if provided)
Items ordered and quantities
Table number
Order timestamp
Total order amount

Restaurants are required to handle this data responsibly and only use it for order fulfilment purposes.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely on servers hosted on Railway (cloud infrastructure). We implement:

Encrypted database connections (SSL)
Secure authentication for restaurant admin access
No plain text passwords stored (bcrypt hashing)
Access restricted to authorised personnel only

We retain your data for as long as you are an active customer. If you request deletion, your data is removed immediately.

Your rights

Under Indian data protection law (IT Act 2000 and DPDP Act 2023), you have the right to:

Access — know what data we hold about you
Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data
Deletion — request complete deletion of your data
Withdrawal of consent — stop data collection at any time

To delete your data instantly: Send the message STOP in the AI chat. Your name, order history, and all personal data will be permanently deleted within seconds.

Children's privacy

Our service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

Analyse website traffic

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect the restaurant admin panel functionality.
