Petpooja Pricing: What It Actually Costs
Petpooja publishes no prices. Independent listings put it at about ₹10,000 for year one per outlet and ₹7,500 to renew, with QR ordering an add-on.
Petpooja's pricing page is headed "No hidden fees. No surprise charges. Fully transparent and simple pricing." It then lists four plans with no prices on any of them, and a Book A Demo button under each. Independent listings put the real figure at roughly ₹10,000 for your first year per outlet and about ₹7,500 a year after that. Here's what those numbers cover, what they don't, and where the cost actually moves.
Fair warning: I build a competing product. I've kept this to what Petpooja publishes about itself and what independent listings report, so you can check every claim.
Key takeaways
- Petpooja doesn't publish rupee prices. Every plan says "Book A Demo".
- Independent listings converge on about ₹10,000 for the first year per outlet, then roughly ₹7,500 a year.
- There are four tiers: Basic, Core, Growth and Scale, billed monthly or annually.
- QR ordering and the digital menu are listed as add-ons, not part of the base plan.
- You don't need to buy their hardware. Petpooja's own FAQ says it runs on phones, tablets and laptops you already have.
What Petpooja publishes, and what it doesn't
Their pricing page carries a full feature comparison across four plan names, a monthly-versus-annual toggle, and this line at the bottom: "Local pricing may vary based on your region and currency. Contact us for accurate, localized rates."
What it does not carry is a single rupee figure.
That's a choice, not an oversight, and it's worth understanding rather than getting annoyed about. Quote-on-request pricing lets a vendor set the number against your outlet count, your city and how much you push back. It also means the price you're quoted is negotiable, which a published price would not be. Go in expecting to negotiate.
What it actually costs
Since Petpooja won't say, here's what the listings that do quote numbers report.
| Source | Reported price |
|---|---|
| Techjockey | From ₹10,000 per year |
| SaaSworthy | ₹10,000 first year per outlet, ₹7,500 a year after |
| SoftwareSuggest | $139 per user per year, first-year payment |
| G2 | $50 to $135 depending on plan |
Two independent sources land on the same shape: about ₹10,000 to get started on one outlet, about ₹7,500 a year to keep it. The dollar figures convert to roughly the same range. That's the number to hold in your head walking into a demo.
Treat it as a floor, not a quote. It's the entry tier for a single outlet, and the reported figures for higher tiers climb steeply, with one circulating breakdown putting Growth and Scale at multiples of the Core price. I couldn't verify those higher numbers against a source I'd stand behind, so I'm not going to state them as fact. Ask for the full tier card in writing.
Per outlet matters too. If you run three outlets, you're pricing three subscriptions, not one.
The four plans
Petpooja's own comparison lists Basic, Core, Growth and Scale. The features it names across those tiers are:
- Cloud billing
- Inventory module
- 80+ reports
- In-built CRM
- Menu management
- Unlimited terminals and user rights
- Central kitchen module
- Multi-terminal billing
- On-call and on-chat support, with a dedicated point of contact higher up
"Unlimited terminals" is the genuinely good part, and it's backed by their FAQ: one POS licence covers multiple billing stations, whether that's two or ten. If you've been quoted per-till pricing elsewhere, that's a real difference worth weighing.
The add-ons are where the price moves
This is the part to read carefully before you sign, and it comes straight off their own pricing table. Petpooja lists these as add-ons, separate from the plan features:
- Kitchen display system
- Captain ordering app
- Restaurant website
- Petpooja loyalty
- Token management system
- Feedback app and QR
- Online ordering website
- QR ordering and digital menu
That last one is the one to price properly. If you came looking at Petpooja because you want guests to scan a code and order from the table, that capability sits outside the base plan on their own published breakdown. Your real cost is the plan plus that add-on, not the ₹10,000 headline.
Ask for each add-on priced individually and in writing, then total it. A quote that bundles everything into one annual number is impossible to compare against anyone else.
What you don't need to buy
Worth saying plainly, because hardware is where restaurant budgets get wasted. Petpooja's own FAQ says its POS runs on iOS, Windows and Android laptops, computers, tablets and phones, and supports ordinary printers over WiFi, LAN, USB, Bluetooth and more, including A4.
So you don't need a ₹20,000 all-in-one terminal to run it. If a reseller quotes you a bundle with hardware you didn't ask for, that's a separate purchase being attached to a software decision. We've broken down that maths in what a restaurant billing machine actually costs, where the short version is that an 80mm thermal printer at ₹3,500 to ₹7,000 plus a tablet you own does the same job.
Is it worth it?
For what it is, the entry price is genuinely low. Around ₹7,500 a year for cloud billing, inventory, 80+ reports and unlimited terminals is not expensive for software that runs your till every day. Petpooja reports over 1,00,000 food outlets on the restaurant product and more than 1,50,000 businesses across its whole range, and that scale buys you integrations and support depth that smaller vendors can't match.
The honest question isn't whether it's cheap. It's whether a biller is what you're short of.
Petpooja records the sale accurately and reports on it thoroughly. It does not sell anything at the table. If your problem is that bills are slow or your GST is messy, a good POS fixes that and Petpooja is a reasonable answer. If your problem is that your average ticket is flat, no amount of reporting moves it, which is the distinction we draw in POS versus ordering system.
That's the bias I declared at the top, so weigh it accordingly. For a straight feature comparison against the other incumbent, see Petpooja vs DotPe, and for the wider field, Petpooja alternatives and our roundup of restaurant billing software in India.
FAQ
How much does Petpooja cost per year?
Petpooja doesn't publish prices. Independent listings report roughly ₹10,000 for the first year per outlet and about ₹7,500 a year afterwards for the entry tier. Higher tiers cost more, and add-ons are charged separately, so ask for a written breakdown before comparing.
Does Petpooja have a free plan?
No free plan is published. The pricing page offers a demo booking rather than a free tier or a self-serve trial. If you want to test it, that runs through their sales team, so ask what a trial period includes and whether setup or migration is charged.
Is QR ordering included in Petpooja's price?
Not in the base plan. Petpooja's own pricing table lists QR ordering and digital menu under add-ons, alongside the kitchen display system, captain app and loyalty. Price that add-on separately if table-side scanning is the reason you're considering it.
Do I need to buy Petpooja hardware?
No. Their FAQ states the POS runs on iOS, Windows and Android laptops, computers, tablets and phones, and supports standard printers over WiFi, LAN, USB and Bluetooth. One licence also covers multiple billing terminals, so you don't pay per till.
Is Petpooja pricing negotiable?
Almost certainly. A vendor that quotes on request rather than publishing rates is pricing against your outlet count, city and willingness to push back. Get competing quotes first, ask for add-ons itemised, and treat the reported ₹10,000 entry figure as a starting point.
What to do next
Book the demo, but go in with three questions written down: the exact annual figure per outlet for the tier you need, each add-on priced separately, and what changes at renewal. Then get the same three answered by one other vendor before you decide.
If table-side ordering is what you're actually buying, price that add-on properly and compare it against a system where taking the order and billing it are the same product. Book a short dineomAI demo and see the difference on your own menu.
